About Me ~
After many years of battling with weight and poor self-image, I decided that to live a full life, I would need to quit sabotaging myself through eating bad food and beating myself up for it. While attending the Academy of Somatic Healing Arts in Atlanta, Georgia to receive my Massage Therapy certification, I found a new passion for food and how your attitude toward food can affect your overall health and well-being. I had finally discovered that there is freedom in food and I wanted to share that message with family and friends. My husband and I have a great foodie relationship: I find the healthy stuff and he cooks it! I have been blessed with having a husband who loves to cook and who also enjoys when I get in the kitchen and make my "signature" dishes. I've loved getting my kids involved too! :) What a blessing it has been to have found and received my training to practice Health Counseling at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. IIN is the only nutrition school integrating all the different dietary theories — combining the knowledge of traditional philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the glycemic index, the Zone and raw foods. |
